Associated with the Greek goddess Aphrodite, they are the synonym love, beauty, pleasure, and passion.

Many women are aware of the rose. The bouquet is coveted as a receipt of affection and love. Shakespeare alluded many times to it’s color, beauty and smell. Speaking of smell, the sweetness of the rose’s olfactory perception, rosewater has been a popular fragrance associated with beauty since Ancient Egyptian women used them to perfume their baths. They also boiled down roses to make them into a cosmetic and healing balm protecting against dry desert winds.

Rose petals contain Vitamin C, Carotene, the Vitamin B Group and Vitamin K. Now you can take advantage of rose for your own skin. They help keep skin smooth and maintain skin elasticity.


Softens and Moisturizes


1 tsp beeswax
1/4 teaspoon honey
4 tbsp almond oil
4 tbsp rosewater

Put the beeswax, honey and almond oil in a glass jar standing in a small pan of hot water.

Stir until melted and blended.

Stir vigorously while pouring in the rosewater.

Take the jar out of the water, and continue to stir gently until the mixture has cooled.
